About Our Church

Our desire is to reach out to our community of Walkersville, Maryland and also Frederick, Maryland with the life-changing power of the Gospel.  

We are an independant Baptist church striving to please our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.  This means we get all of our authority from the King James Bible.

At Life and Liberty Baptist we provide opportunities for everyone to serve the Lord.  Everyone is important and will find a warm atmosphere at our church.

We do use traditional hymns and songs that are based on the Bible and are not contemporary in nature.

About Our Pastor 

Pastor Hays grew up in a Christian home and accepted Christ as his personal Saviour at a young age.  He attended Fairhaven Batist College in Chesterton, Indiana where he met his lovely wife.  They were married in 2005.  After college, he receive more practical training while working under Pastor David Smith of First Bible Baptist Church in Harmony, Pennsylvania.

Pastor Hays was then sent out of his local church to pastor Life and Liberty Baptist of Walkersville, MD.  He and his family are thrilled to be in the center of God’s will here serving the people of the greater Frederick, MD area.

Mrs. Debbie Hays also grew up in a Christian home in Auburn, New York.  She was saved under the misistry of Pastor David Dunbar of Freedom Baptist Church there in Auburn.  Debbie’s family has been in the same Baptist church for over 30 years.  They are the type of family every pastor desires.  Her father has been a faithful help to his pastor for many years.
